Voices of Ike

It was hot and dry with a light breeze when the sun set in Austin tonight. But 200 miles to our southeast Hurricane Ike was bringing drenching rains, howling winds, and -- worst of all -- a terrible 20-25-foot surge of ocean water to the Texas coastline. We've asked physicians who are staying behind to care for the storm's casualties to share their stories with us as they find time. I encourage other physicians from Galveston to Beaumont and beyond to add your comments or send stories and photos to me at steve.levine@texmed.org to add to Blogged Arteries.
