The AMA today bestowed its Medical Executive Lifetime Achievement Award on Lou Goodman, PhD, the executive vice president and CEO of the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Goodman has served the TMA as its executive vice president for 11 years. Under his leadership, the TMA has become the largest state medical association and was named "America's Best Medical Society" by Medical Economics magazine.
